Job summary

Northrop Grumman Rolling Meadows seeks a qualified candidate to lead the RF hardware engineering organization. The role focuses on team leadership, technical performance, and future planning for RF products, reporting to the Hardware Engineering Director as part of the senior staff.

The position requires a strong engineering background with management experience, and the ability to coordinate across multiple directors and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of engineering experience, or 10+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years in a management role with demonstrated success.
• Experience as technical lead for product development and CAM in the Defense industry or equivalent PM/PM duties.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; effective communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the RF hardware team, with 80% technical and 20% managerial focus.
• Monitor program performance, ensure scope, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and future staffing plans.
• Collaborate across organizations to optimize data transfer and process improvements.
• Support new business capture and bid development for the organization.
