Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development of advanced military systems. The role emphasizes design, analysis, and testing of electrical circuits and hardware throughout the product lifecycle, with opportunities to work on RF/microwave related endeavors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (clearance not required to start)
• Fundamental understanding of electrical circuit design and hardware development
• Experience developing, analyzing, or interpreting electrical schematics through professional work, internships, research, or academic engineering projects
• Familiarity with schematic-capture, circuit-simulation, or other electrical CAD tools
• Understanding of electronic components and ability to read component datasheets
• Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and basic circuit test and troubleshooting techniques
• Basic understanding of RF/microwave fundamentals or demonstrated interest in RF/microwave engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test electrical circuits and hardware for military applications
• Develop and review electrical schematics using electronic design and schematic-capture tools
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, component selection, and design verification
• Support PWB layout and work with board designers to implement electrical design requirements
• Support board bring-up, hardware integration, laboratory testing, and troubleshooting
• Identify and resolve board- and system-level electrical performance, interface, component, and integration issues
• Support RF/microwave design and analysis activities involving RF signal paths, amplifiers, filters, switches, transmission lines, impedance matching, and frequency-conversion circuitry
• Support electrical and RF testing using applicable laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and other test equipment
• Collaborate with electrical, RF, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
• Document designs, analyses, test results and support technical reviews and program milestones
