Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Hardware Engineer - Principal Manufacturing Test Engineering (RF Systems) in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will lead test software development across requirements capture to final validation and release, coordinating with design, test hardware, QA, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a strong background in RF systems, hardware/software integration, and collaboration across multiple disciplines to ensure robust test solutions for shop replaceable

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of experience; MS with 3+ years acceptable.
• Experience with programming languages such as C#, C, Java or Lab Windows CVI.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, or firmware issues.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Review hardware design and update test hardware operation per requirements.
• Lead collaboration with Design, Test Hardware, QA, and Manufacturing teams.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing acceptance testing procedures and fixtures.
• Support test station and fixture development for functional and environmental testing.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cost, cycle time, and defects.
