Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking an electrical engineer with a strong background in RF design theory and testing, including AESAs, CCA design, and microwave components. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, design of MMICs, and support to production teams at onsite Massachusetts locations.

The successful candidate will apply electromagnetic and microwave theory, perform cascaded analysis, and work with HFSS/ADS/CST tools. A DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
• Experience with an electromagnetic simulation tool such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Genesys and Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition Cadence Virtuso, and an analytical tool such as Matlab.
• Experience performing basic RF calculations and Cascaded Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design of RF microwave components and phased array applications.
• Develop insights that extend knowledge in RF/Microwave field and form basis of new concepts.
• Design and/or test MMIC or module products and test fixtures at RF/microwave frequencies.
• Integration and test of component level and system level phased array hardware.
• Some travel to integration sites and subcontractor facilities may be required.
