Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join our field team in North Carolina. You will splice, sweep, troubleshoot, and upgrade coax networks on outdoor utility sites, using RF meters and TDR tools to ensure high-quality service.

Safety comes first; 1–3 years of splicing experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain a DOT medical card are required. We offer competitive hourly pay, 401(k), stock purchase plan, health benefits, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Use RF meters and TDR tools for testing and measurement.
• Read CATV telecommunications design and prints.
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
