Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join our field crews. You’ll splice, troubleshoot, test, and upgrade coaxial networks at outdoor utility sites, using RF meters and TDR tools, with an emphasis on safety.

You should have 1–3 years of splicing experience, be comfortable on ladders or bucket trucks, hold a valid driver’s license, and be willing to work varied shifts with overtime. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Read CATV design prints and work on outdoor utility sites.
• Use RF meters and time-domain reflectometers (TDR) to test and validate networks.
