Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join our field team and contribute to building reliable cable networks. You will splice, sweep, troubleshoot, and upgrade coax systems while following strict safety standards in outdoor environments.

You will read CATV designs, operate RF meters and TDR equipment, and collaborate with construction teams to optimize nodes and capacity. A driver’s license and ability to work flexible shifts with overtime are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of splicing and sweeping experience.
• Comfort working on a ladder or bucket truck.
• Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Track record of completing work with high quality.
• Flexible shifts with overtime and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new Nodes and perform node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and TDR for testing and troubleshooting.
• Read CATV design prints and work at outdoor utility sites.
