Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a motivated Coax Splicer to join our field team. You will splice, sweep and troubleshoot coaxial cables, upgrade plant, and support node splits in outdoor utility sites.

You will operate RF meters and read CATV designs while following safety protocols and quality standards. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work rotating shifts with overtime are required. We offer competitive pay and full benefits including retirement and health plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years splicing and sweeping experience.
• Comfortable working on a ladder or bucket truck.
• Safety-first mindset with a focus on high-quality workmanship.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Flexible to a variety of shifts with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and time-domain reflectometers (TDR).
• Read CATV telecom design prints and schematics.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
