Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join a safety-minded team and help expand technology for the community. You will splice, test, troubleshoot, and upgrade coax facilities in outdoor utility construction sites while following quality standards.

You will work with RF meters and TDR equipment, read design prints, and travel to nearby sites as needed. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of splicing and sweeping experience.
• Comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on work approach.
• Track record of completing work with high quality.
• Flexible with shifts and overtime.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT med card; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and TDR equipment for tests and verification.
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints.
• Work on outdoor utility construction sites.
