Job summary

UpGuard is hiring for a Revenue Systems engineer to own the GTM technology stack, spanning CRM, CPQ/billing, and CS integrations. You’ll start hands-on with tooling, then drive architectural decisions and cross-system design, leveraging AI agents and APIs.

The role emphasizes systems thinking, data integrity, and secure access controls, with a clear path toward senior ownership on the Revenue Systems team. Fully remote in the US.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on building and maintaining an object-oriented CRM system.
• Salesforce Administrator certification (or path) is a strong plus; HubSpot CRM experience is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated point of view on CRM architecture: object relationships, permission models, automation patterns.
• Able to execute reliably against written instructions and raise a hand with a better idea.
• Deep comfort with permission models, profiles, permission sets, field-level security, and API/agent actions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve our GTM stack — day-to-day ownership of GTM tools: users, objects, fields, workflows, automations, integrations, validation logic, and data hygiene.
• Own access and security at the data layer. Design and enforce granular access controls using profiles, permission sets, and field-level security; ensure automated processes respect permissions.
• Build automation that enforces process — deal-stage gates, handoffs, territory and eligibility logic, and workflow actions.
• Partner on architecture. Collaborate with Rev Ops on CRM, CPQ/billing, and CS integrations; ramp into architectural decisions.
• Work across systems, not just the CRM; take on projects in adjacent tools and apply systems thinking.
• Document what you build — SOPs and process docs for the systems you own.
