Job summary

INNERGY is a remote-friendly SaaS provider transforming the woodworking industry. We seek a Revenue Accounting Manager to own revenue recognition, contract accounting, and close processes, partnering with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Customer teams to ensure ASC 606 compliance and scalable processes.

You will develop memos, maintain reporting, and drive improvements in controls as the company scales, including audit support and handling non-standard contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting.
• CPA or public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in SaaS or recurring-revenue business.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience reviewing SaaS or software contracts.
• Experience managing revenue through month-end close.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
• Ability to translate technical accounting requirements into practical guidance.
• Detail-oriented with strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition per ASC 606 and GAAP.
• Review customer contracts for proper accounting treatment.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain revenue and deferred revenue reporting and investigate variances.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer teams on complex contracts.
• Develop technical accounting memos and documentation.
• Support forecasting and revenue trend analyses.
• Identify opportunities to automate revenue processes and controls.
• Assist with audits and ensure audit readiness of revenue processes.
• Strengthen internal controls around revenue recognition.
