Job summary

Werner Enterprises in the United States is seeking a Returns Coordinator to manage the efficient processing of returned goods, ensuring accurate records and timely resolution within our logistics operations.

You will inspect and document returns, communicate with customers and carriers, coordinate with warehouse staff, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous process improvements while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in returns, warehouse, logistics, or customer service.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with WMS/ERP.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and lift up to 80-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Process and document all incoming product returns, including inspection, categorization, and data entry into the inventory management system.
• Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, and internal departments regarding return status and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff for handling, storage, and disposition of returns.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as wrong items or damaged goods.
• Prepare paperwork for credit issuance, exchanges, or restocking.
• Identify trends in returns and report findings to improve processes.
• Maintain accurate records of all return transactions per policies.
• Assist in developing and implementing improved returns processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
