Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree AA or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and input information and supporting documentation, determine eligibility, and calculate retirement and death claims and voluntary additional benefits.
• Calculate and prepare manual benefit estimates.
• Coordinate with other IMRF departments to obtain information for resolving internal conditions preventing payment of benefits.
• Communicate with employers, employees, beneficiaries, and financial institutions to resolve external conditions.
• Provide customer service by answering questions concerning procedures and benefits, in writing or by telephone.
