Job summary

Floor & Decor in Orlando, FL seeks a dedicated trainer to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive exceptional service with expert product information. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service or sales experience.

You will lead certification courses, manage merchandising, and help drive store performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner consistent with company values.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe lifting practices and SOPs.
• Drive and teach the basic P's of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure attentive and accurate customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Understand merchandise and installation.
• Manage merchandising, pricing, and department organization.
• Communicate SOPs to associates in a timely manner.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Direct merchandise processing to showroom floor.
• Validate product placement and pricing within the department.
• Greet customers and assist with questions and selections.
• Process sales at POS and handle refunds per guidelines.
• Present how-to classes to customers.
• Follow cash, check, and card procedures.
• Answer phones per guidelines.
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs.
