Job summary

Floor & Decor seeks a dedicated trainer to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure exceptional customer experiences. You will convey product knowledge, safety practices, and retail fundamentals while guiding staff through certification and showroom readiness.

The role emphasizes customer interactions, merchandise presentation, and accurate pricing, supporting a fast-paced store environment and hands-on coaching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Act in line with company values and standards.
• Demonstrate safe lifting practices per SOPs.
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Direct and support product sales specialists for attentive customer service.
• Complete product specialist certification courses.
• Maintain merchandise knowledge and showroom layout.
• Communicate SOP changes to associates in a timely manner.
• Operate forklift certification and safety training as required.
• Communicate inventory needs and assist showroom processing.
• Ensure correct product placement and pricing; greet customers courteously.
• Assist customers with questions and POS checkout; handle refunds/exchanges.
• Present how-to classes and follow cash/check/card procedures.
