Job summary

Swedish Match (PMI U.S.) is seeking a Retail Team Manager to lead sales and execution within an assigned territory.

This player-coach role combines team leadership with direct account management to drive distribution, merchandising, promotions, and customer growth across Peoria, IL.

You will coach a team of sales reps, analyze market data, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet regional targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in retail sales, wholesale grocery, route sales, or related fields.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, planning, organizational and team management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and analytical abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Salesforce, syndicated data, and sales analytics tools.
• Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve regional objectives.
• Manage retail and wholesale accounts while executing strategic business plans.
• Drive product distribution, merchandising excellence, promotions, and freshness standards.
• Analyze market, sales, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and actionable plans.
• Ensure effective routing, call coverage, and execution across the territory.
• Monitor performance, communicate goals, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Key Account Managers.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development planning for team members.
• Maintain accurate reporting of retail and account metrics.
• Foster integrity, accountability, collaboration, and high performance culture.
