Job summary

Swedish Match, an PMI U.S. affiliate, is seeking a Retail Team Manager to lead sales and execution activities within an assigned territory in the United States.

This player-coach role combines team leadership with direct account management, driving retail sales, distribution, merchandising, promotional execution, and customer growth strategies. The role requires 3–5+ years in retail sales or related fields, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and strong leadership, analytical, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in retail sales, wholesale grocery, route sales, or related fields.
• Proven leadership, coaching, planning, organizational, and team management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Salesforce, syndicated data, and sales analytics tools.
• Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve regional objectives.
• Manage assigned retail and wholesale accounts while executing strategic plans.
• Drive product distribution, merchandising, and promotional execution for the territory.
• Analyze market, sales, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and action plans.
• Ensure effective routing, call coverage, and execution across the territory.
• Monitor performance, communicate goals, and implement corrective strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development and Key Account Managers.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development planning for team members.
• Maintain accurate reporting of retail and account metrics.
