Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and teach suggestive selling.
• Proven mentoring abilities and leadership in a safety-conscious environment.
• Commitment to meeting sales goals and store standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; develop career paths and promotions.
• Staffing, hiring, and scheduling to meet staffing needs.
• Apply disciplinary actions and manage performance decisions.
• Oversee P&L, sales targets, and shrink control for the department.
• Demonstrate exceptional, fast, friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and interactions.
• Ensure team is trained and maintains company standards.
