Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader to supervise daily operations across departments, mentor staff, and drive customer service excellence. You will plan staffing, oversee training, manage performance, and ensure store standards and fiscal targets are met.

In this role you will foster a safe, welcoming shopping environment, promote Meijer Friendly initiatives, and steer teams toward sales goals through coaching, scheduling, and effective communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with the team with clear direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with analyzing financial data to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach employees; drive customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, hiring, and training to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development of team members.
• Ensure P&L targets, sales goals, and shrink control are met.
• Maintain compliance with company standards and Meijer initiatives.
