Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day‑to‑day operations across departments.

You will mentor staff, implement strategies to improve customer service, and ensure fast, friendly service while maintaining store appearance and company standards. In this role you will oversee staffing, hiring, and succession planning, manage P&L and sales, resolve conflicts, and coach team members to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas and customer service experience are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts, manage multiple tasks, and analyze information.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise day‑to‑day operations within multiple departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs; promote career paths.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and maintain shrink; ensure safety and company standards.
• Maintain a positive store image and ensure prime shopping hours, product presentation, and Meijer standards.
