Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader who will supervise day-to-day operations across multiple departments. You will mentor and coach team members, implement strategies to improve customer service, and drive store sales while ensuring swift, friendly service and adherence to company standards.

The role focuses on in-store leadership, staffing oversight, and development of customer service excellence during peak hours, with opportunities for advancement through Meijer’s development programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Strong communication to team members with clear direction.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Develop succession plans and identify development needs for team members.
• Address discipline and make discharge recommendations as needed.
• Responsible for P&L, sales targets and controlling shrink in the department.
• Model exceptional customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
