Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking an experienced store leader to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor and coach team members, drive customer service, sales and adherence to standards, and ensure a safe, clean and welcoming shopping environment.

As a member of our team, you’ll manage staffing, development and performance, promote Meijer’s Friendly Initiative and lead with integrity to deliver exceptional experiences for customers and communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Experience with staffing, training and development is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear direction to teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for the team.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures the team is trained in all job aspects and completes required training.
