Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.
• Clear and precise direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.
• Experience teaching suggestive selling.
• Experience leading a safety-focused team.
• Mentoring team members across roles.
• Completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve service and sales.
• Implement strategies to enhance customer service and efficiency.
• Maintain store appearance aligned with prime shopping hours.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Promote succession planning and internal promotions.
• Handle disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Manage P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Ensure training and adherence to Meijer standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
