Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to guide day-to-day operations across multiple departments in our Michigan location. You will mentor staff, manage staffing, and drive customer service and sales while upholding Meijer standards.

The role requires 1 year of management experience, strong communication, and the ability to analyze financial data to inform decisions. A safe, engaging, and efficient store environment will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalence required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Ability to communicate to team members clearly and precisely.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive sales.
• Maintain store appearance, prime shopping hours, product presentation and standards.
• Oversee staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Promote succession planning and development for team members.
• Disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Manage P&L and shrink while achieving department goals.
• Ensure safe work environment and compliant operations.
• Rotate assignments across departments (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and support customer service.
