Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Sales Lead in Santa Monica, CA, to support daily store operations and lead a team of Beneficiaries and staff. You will manage POS, inventory, and donations, while driving sales and ensuring excellent service.

This role requires prior retail experience and supervisory skills in a mission-driven environment. Responsibilities include coaching staff, monitoring KPI performance, and maintaining security and ARC compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations, including opening/closing, POS, inventory management, and donations.
• Assume responsibility for day-to-day operations in absence of Store/Assistant Manager.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and profitability as needed.
• Schedule staff to ensure coverage and coordinate team meetings; train and develop store employees.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Support Back Room Processing and ARC-related duties.
• Protect store currency, inventory, property, and ensure security of building and alarm systems.
• Comply with safety and ARC policies and report incidents promptly.
• May transfer to other stores based on business needs.
• Complete all tasks as assigned by district managers and directors.
