Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Sales Lead for our Retail location in California. This part-time role reports to the Store Manager/Assistant Manager and handles customer service, merchandise presentation, and daily store operations.

The ideal candidate has at least a year of retail experience, strong communication skills, the ability to supervise staff, and a commitment to the organization's mission. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Assists Store Manager with daily store operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory, and donations.
• In the absence of Store/Assistant Manager, cover duties and discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
• Analyze KPIs to drive store sales and profitability as per budget and goals.
• Schedule staff and conduct team meetings; coach and train employees; manage time and attendance compliance.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Support Back Room Processing and supervise Beneficiaries as needed.
• Protect store currency, inventory and property; manage cash deposits and security; ensure after-hours building security.
