Job summary

Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County, PA is seeking a hands-on Team Lead for our new Lantana Square store in Hockessin, Delaware. You will help open the store, train new team members, and establish a strong store culture while ensuring safety, customer service, and efficient operations.

You will supervise shifts as a manager on duty, support front end and backroom tasks, and work with the management team to meet weekly goals. This role offers growth, benefits, and a positive community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years retail experience.
• Excellent customer service and ability to interact with a diverse population.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and supervise follow-through of assigned work.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
• Ability to take initiative and exercise good judgment at all times.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer navigation skills and the ability to learn new technical skills.
• Ability to work varied hours and days as the business dictates, including opening and closing the store.

Responsibilities

• Open new store; assist with store setup, merchandising, and grand opening activities.
• Follow safety policies to protect customers, team members, and assets.
• Serve as manager on duty; supervise shifts and front end/backroom activities.
• Handle opening/closing as key holder under guidance of Store Manager.
• Help achieve weekly revenue and production goals through training and focus.
• Handle POS and banking tasks; manage registers, deposits, and discrepancies.
• Complete daily reports and record-keeping for money and sales.
• Support production functions and QA checks; train Production Associates.
• Assist in training new retail team members for best customer service.
• Engage with customers and community groups to promote our mission and resolve issues.
• Keep management informed of progress, problems, and developments.
• Maintain clean, neat store environment and confidentiality of sensitive information.
