If so, we are looking for a Team Lead to help open our new store at Lantana Square in Hockessin, Delaware. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a store launch from day one — helping set up the sales floor and backroom, train new team members, and build a strong store culture. As a key holder and member of the Management Support Team, the Team Lead oversees and participates in day-to-day store activities including safety compliance, front end and backroom operations, sales, production, and customer service — directly supporting job training and employment programs in our community.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, working for the greater good is at the core of what we do at Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County. Our mission — to improve the quality of life for people with barriers to self-sufficiency through the Power of Work — guides everything we do. While our work focuses on supporting individuals, our broader vision reflects the lasting community impact that happens when people receive a hand up.
By providing job training, social services, and employment support, we empower people to build meaningful careers, strengthen their families, and contribute to thriving communities.
This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, regularly stooping, kneeling, and crouching, lifting up to 30 lbs., and working on the sales floor. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail seasons, is required.
This position regularly works in a retail and production setting and may be frequently exposed to moving or mechanical equipment and donated goods processing areas. The noise level is typically moderate.
To support a safe workplace, required personal protective equipment (PPE) may include hand protection, eye protection when handling materials, and other safety gear as needed to reduce the risk of injury.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
We look forward to learning how you can help us make a meaningful impact in our community.
