Job summary

Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County seeks a Retail Store Manager to open and lead our new Lantana Square store in Hockessin, Delaware. You will hire and train the opening team, set up operations, and establish a culture of excellence from day one.

The role combines leadership, mission alignment, operations management, and customer engagement to achieve KPI targets and deliver exceptional service benefiting job training and employment programs in our community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of leadership in retail/operations.
• Experience supervising teams and store operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• willingness to travel for off-site meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening activities and launch of the new store, setting up operations and culture.
• Recruit, hire, and train the opening team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Build relationships with the local community and donors to establish the store as a trusted destination.
• Maintain safe, compliant workplace and high safety standards.
• Drive sales, revenue, and productivity while managing labor efficiency and payroll.
• Oversee all point-of-sale and cash handling operations with accuracy.
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences and support community programs.
