Job summary

Meijer is seeking a dynamic store leadership team member to direct and supervise daily operations across multiple store departments. You will mentor staff, implement strategies to enhance customer service, and drive sales while ensuring company standards and appearance are maintained.

The role emphasizes staffing and training, with opportunities for advancement through Meijer's development programs and a strong focus on customer satisfaction during prime shopping hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store.
• Successful completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Serves as mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient.
• Maintains store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development plans for team members.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Mentors and coaches team members to ensure goals are met; ensures training is completed.
