Job summary

Meijer, a family-owned retailer, seeks a store leader to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day department operations. You will mentor staff, guide customer service, and ensure efficient staffing and store presentation to meet company standards.

Responsibilities include staffing decisions, discipline when needed, driving sales and controlling shrink, training teammates, and maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts, manage multiple tasks, and analyze basic financial information.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations within store departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Oversee staffing, hiring, and scheduling to meet staffing needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets, and maintain shrink within department.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
