Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to read, interpret and explain to others operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics).
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments

Responsibilities

• Guides store team on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures.
• Greets, assists and thanks customers, answers questions and resolves inquiries.
• Handles situations with the best interest of both the customer and Company in mind.
• Builds average basket transaction and store sales through suggestive selling and promotions.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Maintains a positive image towards internal and external customers and the community.
• Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing, stocking shelves and transferring stock to the floor.
• Supports asset protection prevention by maintaining a presence in the store and providing service.
• In absence of Store Manager/ASM, opens/closes and provides operational assistance to cashiers.
• Completes all Position Based Training timely.
• Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
