Job summary

Belk in Waynesville, NC is seeking a Support Flex Associate to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by processing inbound truck deliveries and preparing new merchandise for the floor. This hourly role collaborates with merchandising teams to ensure product signage and availability.

You will unload trucks, price changes, support store operations, and assist customers during peak shopping times while maintaining organization and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and goal-driven attitude.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload cartons from trucks, separate by department, process, remove plastic, and hang items for sale.
• Tag sensors, transfer products, handle damage processing, and support inventory accuracy.
• Assist with facilities tasks including lighting, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Support merchandising and store fulfillment with floor sets, price changes, and order picking/packing.
• Maintain daily standards by replenishing supplies, aiding store recovery, and organizing tools and stock.
• Learn procedures using training tools, stay informed on products and promotions, and improve execution.
• Enhance in-store experience by greeting customers and assisting during peak periods.
• Foster positive culture by sharing knowledge and celebrating teamwork.
• Follow asset protection and safety protocols to minimize loss.
