Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking a Retail Supervisor to support store and donation center operations, motivate the team, and ensure customer satisfaction and production standards to achieve revenue goals. You will drive a positive customer experience through merchandising support and coaching engaging customer interactions.

In this role you will supervise daily tasks, ensure coverage at POS, participate in hiring and training, uphold safety, and maintain loss-prevention compliance

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Work varied schedule and flexible hours; a minimum of two closing shifts per week and every other weekend as scheduled. Additional nights and weekend shifts may be required to meet business needs.
• Must have working phone that allows for communication accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Project and Change Management: plans and manages own work to complete routine duties.
• Problem Solving: close supervision for routine work with direction for non-routine tasks.
• Technical Skill: basic knowledge of customer service procedures and methods.
• Community Engagement: acts as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
• Maximize value of donated goods and maintain production and store environment standards.
• Coordinate rotation of goods to ensure a continuous flow of new merchandise.
• Assist with hiring process of associates; complete phone screens and training as needed.
• Operate register, manage tills, ensure efficient customer flow and proper cash controls.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and follow safety practices.
• Support loss prevention policies and procedures.
