Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking a Retail Supervisor to assist with store and donation center operations. Motivates the team to meet customer satisfaction and revenue goals, support merchandising efforts and coach engaging customer interactions.

This role requires following policies, supervising staff, and maintaining safe, productive environments. You will help with hiring, data reporting, and ensuring strong service at the register and donor areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Flexible schedule with two closing shifts per week and every other weekend.
• Must have a working phone for communication.

Responsibilities

• Project and Change Management: Plan and manage own work to complete routine responsibilities.
• Problem Solving: Supervised completion of routine work; detailed instructions for non-routine tasks.
• Technical Skill: Basic knowledge of procedures and customer service fundamentals.
• Community Engagement: Act as Goodwill ambassador and participate in volunteer activities.
• Maximize value of donated goods and maintain store and production standards.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure a steady flow of new items.
• Assist training and coaching; ensure adequate POS and donation coverage.
• Aid with hiring processes; conduct phone screens and training as needed.
• Operate as service experience leader; manage register, tills, and cash controls.
• Maintain safe, orderly work environment and safe equipment practices.
• Collaborate with Store Management on loss prevention and apprehensions.
• Accurate data entry of reports and share insights with leadership.
• Communicate policies; report concerns to leadership.
