Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking a Retail Supervisor to help run the store and donation center operations. You will lead a team, coach customer interactions, and drive revenue while ensuring high standards of service and safety.

The role emphasizes managing front-end operations, merchandising support, and loss-prevention practices within a busy retail and donation environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Work varied schedule and flexible hours; a minimum of two closing shifts per week and every other weekend as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Project and Change Management: Plans and manages own work to complete routine responsibilities.
• Problem Solving: Close supervision for routine work with detailed instructions for non-routine tasks.
• Technical Skill: Basic knowledge of customer service procedures and ability to respond to routine requests.
• Community Engagement: Acts as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community and participates in volunteer opportunities.
• Maximize value of donated goods and maintain store and production standards.
• Coordinate rotation of goods to ensure continuous flow of new merchandise.
• Support training and coaching of employees to reach high productivity and teamwork.
• Assist with hiring processes: phone screens and training as needed.
• Function as a service experience leader; operate register, manage tills, ensure customer flow and cash controls.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and ensure safe equipment operation.
• Work with Store Management on loss prevention processes.
