Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to floor while maintaining store standards.

The role emphasizes opening/closing duties, adherence to directives, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff. This is a part-time position located at 1085 Walmart Drive, Williamston, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical activities typical for store work.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits).
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards and protect all assets.
• Adhere to policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
