Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Atlanta to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, merchandise movement, and ensure clean, well-stocked spaces while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, managing inventories and payroll records, and supporting the Store Manager in training and supervising staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged items, and manage records including payroll and receipts.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, and trash removed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
