Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and coordinate merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform demanding physical activity.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store complies with planograms.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
