Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, supervise team members, and ensure a welcoming environment for customers in Asheville, NC.

You will participate in merchandising, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company policies. The role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and a customer-first mindset for a high-energy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
