Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability.

You will lead payroll tasks, scheduling, and HR-related activities to maximize profitability and in-store productivity. This role requires strong communication, customer service, and the ability to coach staff, manage inventory, and ensure loss-prevention controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Minimum 3 years prior retail or sales management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
• Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, stand/walk on sales floor and stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Prepares weekly store schedules and reviews payroll documents.
• Promotes customer service and responds to inquiries professionally.
• Supervises associates in sales, inventory, and customer service.
• Models sales techniques and assists customers with merchandise selections.
• Maintains a visually appealing store with proper housekeeping and merchandising.
• Trains associates on visual merchandising and standards.
• Monitors sales activities and provides performance feedback.
• Handles cash, price changes, and merchandise handling per policy.
• Manages inventory receipt/dispatch and daily replenishment.
• Supports store operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Assists in recruiting, hiring, and development of associates; delivers coaching.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
