Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations, drive customer experience, and meet financial targets in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will recruit and develop talent, manage schedules and payroll, and ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety. Collaborating with Design and Merchandising, you will execute visual standards and merchandise presentation, including evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• High school required; some college or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 18 years old or older.
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in retail with 2+ years as Store Manager.
• Proven ability to recruit, select, develop and retain store team; hold individuals accountable.
• Proven ability to foster a positive, inclusive working environment.
• Strong customer focus and ability to prioritize customer needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Forecast and analyze business trends; manage payroll to maximize store performance.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Model and uphold Brand culture, policies, and procedures; hold Associates accountable.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain talent; maintain succession planning.
• Collaborate with Design and Merchandising through the Product Life Cycle (PLC).
• Lead merchandising to optimize turnover and gross margin.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and laws.
• Coach selling behaviors to Brand expectations.
• Support in-store events and philanthropy.
• Analyze reports; create strategies to improve customer experience.
• Lead visual merchandising updates and product placement per Brand standards.
• Articulate Brand positioning and educate associates on lifestyle and product knowledge.
• Manage controllable expenses through scheduling and financial discipline.
• Stay current with market trends and Brand dress code.
• Lead productivity; ensure schedules meet peaks and tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, Asset Protection and other policies.
