The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and staff supervision. The role emphasizes customer service, merchandising, and ensuring store policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and customer service.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to motivate a team and maintain a hospitable work environment.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Be well-versed in and ensure compliance to employee and store policies.
• Assist the manager in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals maintaining a profitable operation.
• Ensure that all production is taken from the back room and properly displayed on the sales floor.
• Receive applications and participate in interviewing applicants as needed.
• Assist in training, direction, and supervision of new personnel along with retraining for all personnel, as necessary.
• Assist, as required, in conducting regular evaluations of store personnel, identifying performance strengths and areas for development.
• Assist in scheduling of sales associates to ensure full coverage in store at all times.
