Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise store staff and support daily store and warehouse operations.

You will assist customers, manage cash handling, and ensure displays are well-stocked while upholding store policies. When needed, you will assume Store Manager duties and promote a professional working relationship with donors, customers, and management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective customer service techniques.
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
• Experience handling cash and operating a register in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store employees and participate in day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
• Ensure accountability and security of cashier funds and maintain merchandise displays.
• Assist customers, locate items, explain store policies, and resolve routine problems.
• Step in as Store Manager when needed and maintain a professional working atmosphere with staff and vendors.
