Job summary

The Salvation Army Encino Thrift Store in the Los Angeles area is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in daily operations, coaching staff, and delivering excellent donor and customer service. This full-time role requires hands-on leadership in a nonprofit retail environment.

You will help maintain ARC merchandising standards, manage cash handling, and ensure safety and loss prevention while supporting growth opportunities within the organization and

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license, be able to show proof of insurance.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role and partner with the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Manage all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to Store Employees.
• Ensure Customer/Donor needs are met with good Customer/Donor/Community relations; resolve complaints; maintain efficient service.
• Communicate personnel issues with Management; may issue warnings and evaluations.
• Ensure store merchandising standards are maintained; manage inventory levels on hand.
