Job summary

The Salvation Army Old Pasadena Thrift Store is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, drive sales, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting donors and the program beneficiaries.

You will partner with the Store Manager to supervise staff, manage cash handling, and ensure compliance with ARC policies and safety standards in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years Retail Management/Supervisory experience (thrift preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid Driver's license, pass MVR, and have access to a vehicle.
• Background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day store operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory and donations.
• Take onStore Manager duties in their absence and manage staffing when needed.
• Help monitor KPIs to drive sales and profitability as per budgets and directives.
• Schedule staff to ensure coverage and coordinate daily meetings.
• Support hiring, training and coaching of store employees for process proficiency.
