Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Milwaukee is seeking a Manager in Training to support Store Manager in daily operations and admin tasks. You will gain knowledge across departments, promote sales, and serve as an ambassador creating a great customer experience. You may act as supervisor when the Store Manager is absent.

The role requires a customer-focused mindset, retail experience, and ability to lead teams in a fast-paced store environment. Reports to Store Manager and supports achieving store goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keeping up with goals and profits.
• Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Assure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Provide extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
