The role prepares you to assume Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of leadership. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Step in for Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities.
• Keep Store Manager informed on inventory movement and trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service during peak periods and sales events.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures per manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information; report potential fraud risk.
