Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is hiring for a Manager in Training in our Operations department. The role supports the Store Manager with store operations, customer service, merchandising, and staff supervision. The position is non-exempt and hourly, with a wage of $10.35 per hour.

Responsibilities include controlling store assets, planning actions for departmental goals, and stepping in as acting manager when needed while promoting company policies and delivering outstanding service to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative for important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Team-player with outstanding customer service and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take full store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain inventory movement and customer trend awareness.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per the service manuals.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as listed in manuals.
• Protect assets and financial information; report potential fraud risk.
