Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist in all store processes, including staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service leadership. The role supports development of external candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

Responsibilities include assisting in recruitment, merchandising, and inventory control, following standard procedures, and ensuring cash handling accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience is preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staffing activities and recruiting.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking.
• Assist in inventory management and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Operate store in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork within deadlines.
